 On a lonely shore lies an abandoned sailboat in the golden sand and overhead waves of white clouds wash over the blue sky. A wave curls towards the beach as two paddle boarders enjoy the early morning with a row out on the ocean.

After reading about an abandoned sailboat beached on Hollywood Beach in the news, I drove before sunrise to the location to take some early morning pictures of the sunrise. I was able to capture the sunrise from a different angle with the sailboat as well and the paddle boarders in the scene. For Lonely Shore, I took the photo from a different angle to get the 'waves of clouds' in the blue sky and the sailboat on the shore the cherry on top is that in the far left of the composition one can see the two paddle boarders.

The owner of the broken 1968 Morgan sailboat could not afford the high cost of having it towed. The city of Hollywood had to wait 45 days before they could legally proceed to have the stranded sailboat removed. So it sat on the beach for weeks.
