Very surprised to see 1's and 2's for this effort. The composition and subject are right on target and deserve much better on their own.

Voters should keep in mind that not everyone can afford Canon EOS 300D's or Nikon D10, D70's, et al! Perhaps the focus is a little soft, but otherwise, very well done! Do not be discouraged.

Thanks to everyone who voted and commented on this photo. I agree with both the score (I would have given myself a 4) and your constructive criticism (a pretty picture that fell short of illustrating the theme of "Time Passing"). This was my first challenge entry. Now that I have a better idea of how the process works, I think I can do a better job in the future of being creative.

Shooting a static clock didn't meet the topic in my opinion.

I see a very nice photograph here but can’t see how it relates to time passing. I know there is a clock In the photo but the way you took the picture it is standing still. I would try to be a bit more creative next time because you have the ability to take good photos as seen here. Nice color and lighting. Details are there but I believe they need to be a bit sharper and a crop to make the tower vertical would have helped.

Appealing shot but the subject in the challenge point of view is too small. It look more like a generic cityscape shot with an accidental clock in it than a specific "passing time" themed photography. The focus being on the plant in the foreground an maybe not at hyperfocal make the subject look slightly blurred. (5)
