 i was going to enter this black and white photo in the something different for the new year challlenge ..

but my daughter and her friend rhiannon said no .. go the colour ..

i'm glad i went with their advice as i got the elusive blue ribbon for my colour entry ..

In a different way I like this as much as the wonderful color version. It has the evanescent feel of oriental brushwork.

And as much as I like black-and-white photography, your daughter was correct in telling you to enter the colour one, the greens are amazing, the whole photo just pops with excitement!
