Challenge: Where's Waldo? VII (Standard Editing)
Collection: Portfolio
Camera: DJI Mavic Air
Date: May 20, 2019
Date Uploaded: May 28, 2019

I was worried that Waldo was too small in this image. I could have cropped in more closely, but that would have thrown off everything that helps make the overall image more interesting. I had other images in which Waldo was more appropriately sized, but, overall, these images were a bit dull. Generally, I've found it is better to enter a compelling image that may not fit the challenge perfectly than one that better suits the challenge that is not as interesting an image.

strong image, Mark, congrats on a well-deserved ribbon! I think I found a couple more people there (t is amazing how few are there given the expanse of it!). They are not jaywalking though, but standing and waiting for the green light on both sides of the intersection in lower left

I loved this one! And I agree! Even if I could score better, I’d rather have a compelling image than a boring one that fits perfectly! It’s gotta be art, or who cares! And this is! I’m glad it won a spot on the podium!

An interesting image to explore. The rail lines and train carriages provide a strong visual element for the eye to follow. Although it's unfortunate that the road on the left leads one out of the image.
Well done having only one person so visible. Makes me wonder what time of day this was taken, or did you remove others?

In this vast expanse I see but the one tiny person crossing the street on the left. Perfectly observed, moving in the seeming loneliness of the city, from the outskirts in. I like the kind of triangular composition, with the viewer at the apex. Aside from the Waldo business, a stellar cityscape.
Personal favorite of the challenge.

My favorite in this challenge. So much to see -- a great sky, a wonderful view of the city, and, of course, Waldo!

Wow! This is an amazing image, and so perfect for the challenge. It took me forever to find the jay-walker! Nice JOB!
