Challenge: Self Portrait in Minimal (Minimal Editing*)
Collection: Portfolio
Camera: Fujifilm X-Pro2
Date: Aug 14, 2019
Date Uploaded: Aug 15, 2019

This is me and Bear. Bear is Riley‘s half brother, and he’s eight months old. Is it cheating to add a very cute puppy to your self portrait to make it better? Yes, I did notice the marks on the wall, and it made me crazy. However, I didn’t have a good expanse of wall to use without moving a lot of furniture. Yes, Girish, the wall has an extremely high sheen. Like a well buffed car. It’s odd, but my wife picked it.

The marks add to the whimsical feel of this image. Love it.

How did you get the square crop, in minimal, in camera?? The wall in the back distracted me also.

Nice one though in here, there is something on wall that gets attention and I think there is reflection of your-self back on the wall. is that wall really that shiny? :)

This is excellent! And what an amazing little model you have posing with you, obediently looking adorable straight at the camera.

Your pup is getting to be quite the star in DPC. Much cuter than you! Congrats on a very well done self portrait.

In the presence of royalties! Very good Mark (I just realized that you were not on my favorite list and made the correction)

Edit: I was wrong. You are on my list since 2012 and keep you there

Did you take it of the wall? There are some marks visible. Oh, the perils of Minimal! :)

I've never seen that other dog before, Mark.

I think you did a REALLY good job at the photography. How in the world did you get the dog looking at the camera, too?

I'd prefer the image without the other "dog" since it's the brightest part of the image and my eye keeps going back there instead of on you. But, that's just me. And, we all know I'm weird.

Great portrait, excellent lighting, just a pity about the distracting 2 marks on the wall
