I love this shot!
Thanks for all the great comments. I used a silver reflective umbrella off to the right and a bounced flash directed slightly above her.

What a doll. I do like the "floating hands" effect, very effective especially holding the lipstick.

This little girl is simply precious. The high key adds interest. More cuter than funny but the image is just great. Bumping up

I love this high key look. The messy lipstick makes it for me. Great job.

I like it. Little girls are always good in high key. Great idea.

As a mother of three daughters, I can certainly say that this image works for me. The whites, pale skin, and blonde hair work as a perfect foil for the red lips and lipstick. Stunning photo on many levels. Captivating shot!

not sure that I like the high key effect in this situation. Maybe since you blew everything out, if you really pumped up the red it would look a little better.

The excellence of the high-key photo and the serious expression of the child pretty much removes the "humor" element for me - the exact same photo but with a grin would have made me laugh out loud.

Nice subtle humour and suits the high key approach also.
One of my favourites so far.

Cute shot and the use of white. I would have liked to see her trying to apply the lipstick.
