I thought about commenting on this photo and thought why should I when most everyone here didn't get reconized by their wonderful comment. I am just wondering why you clicked DennisF's comment helpful and not dsidwell?? I think that they are both pretty close to the same. I find that not fair and that is one reason why I don't comment on more photos.

Now THAT's a GOOD bee shot. Very well done! Don't like the blurry depth in the top left and the top right doesn't seem quite right but the bee and the area around it are just right. 7

Great use of dof here. The background is completely blurred and provides great background contrast for the bee. The lower right corner is soft as well and thus transfers all attention to the bee.
I love the detail of the wings. Good strong color.

What you've captured here better than anything else are the various textures which I want to keep exploring endlessly. To this end, the lighting and depth of field are impeccable.

Wow and more wow! This is a perfect shot! I love everything about it!! The yellow is so very strong. The focus on the bee is super!! (very detailed!!) If I could score this higher than 10, I would! 10 Swash

Perhaps the most outstanding macro shot on the site yet. You rightly deserve first place hands down with this entry. No contesting that. The impeccable bee focus to bring out every detail and nuance of tone in the insect is sheer magic. The background fades ever so gently and smoothly from the delicate foreground folds.Incredibly beautiful hues in the petals and wings. If you don't receive another 50 rave reviews I will be very surprised. A true masterpiece!

Perfect "10" , maybe flower is little out of focus and photo might be less croped on the bottom, but I love it!!

Wow, now that's yellow. I love the reflection on the wings, it makes them stand out. The detail is great. Nice crop/placement. The depth of field is perfect for bringing the attention to the bee. A couple of spot/flaws on the flower could be removed after the contest, but this is a great shot.

Its a good photo, but that bee is in a very un-natural position. As its a dead bee (probably), perhaps you could have turned it to face the camera.
Im not voting this week but Id give it a 7 normally.
