Another Leatherlips Picture, and if I count correctly, my 4th (including the Lucky7) :o)

I've not run out of angles yet!

Concerning where this is: This sculpture is in Dublin, Ohio in a public park called "Scioto Park", a park that borders the Scioto River and has some really cool hills and stuff (during the winter, the city of Dublin set up a sledding course). If you're on I270, the Outerbelt of Columbus, take the Sawmill Road exit southbound. Turn right onto Village Parkway. Village Parkway becomes Tuller Road. Once you get to the end of Tuller, turn right onto Riverside Drive (SR33). Take it a short ways north, and on the left, there's a big sign that says "Dublin Park System" or something to that effect and "Scioto Park." Turn left into there, and follow the road down to the second parking lot. You can't really miss the sculpture, you drive right by him.

Incase any of you wanted to go copy me :D

Good shot, beautiful light (you've certainly had enough practice with this one, huh?) ;-)

This is very nicely taken. I originally marked this as a 6, but I think that was because this subject has been overdone. Bumping up to a 7.

I think you photographed this at the perfect time of day. I also like the point of view very much.

Ah Yes. I think I recognize this! Nicely done. Up close. Only suggestion. . .polorizer might have deepened the clouds and the bright spots on the cheek of the face. BOL 7 Here Ok. One more comment. The shrub on the right should have been softened in color to make it less prominent.

Quite a distinctive entry. Well composed and technically without any significant faults. Well done!

Now James - had a feeling that this was going to be your subject. It's beautifully done, as far as it goes: perfect light for the image, great capture of the fill-in cold daylight on the reverse side of the face. Good detail, good exposure, all that technical stuff ... but I don't see what there is more than a simple documentary image of the sculpture. It's an extraordinary thing in itself - but your photograph is just a record of that thing, not an image that communicates anything more about it to me - unlike your previous shot of it, which had a ost of other implications to my mind and eye. Obviously, I've no idea what your options were - I don't know the place ... but this, to me, is too straightforward. 6

Great use of the afternoon sun, it creates a much more dramatic effect rather than just straight noon lighting.

Hmm...I wonder who it could be? ;-)

Excellent, you've really improved with this since your last picture. I really like the gold sun on the face, did you shoot it at morning time?

Well you picked the right time of day - the lighting is really great, and you didn't oversaturate the sky this time. But you really need to get a new subject.

:P.

I think this is a record -- three times now you've used this? I like the sky and you got it at just the right time of the day...good work.
