SO many people use erroneous apostrophes that
Hubby said no one would understand the Epic Fail in the tattoo.
So, I spelled it out in the title. Sorry.
"Nothing lasts forever" is correct grammar.
I'm ridding the world of erroneous apostrophes... one apostrophe at a time. (Thanks to my English teacher Mom... *sigh* )

If I'd been saying that something BELONGS to last or if you were skipping some letters... then the apostrophe would be correct. For instance:
I like all of the entries but, the last's my favorite. (skipping some letters) You're saying "the last is my favorite".
I like all of the entries, but the last's use of color makes it my favorite. (something belongs to the last one... the use of color)
All clear now? :D
Good. There's also an exception. (of course)
"It's" means "it is"
"Its" means something belongs to "it".

I didn't make the rules.
But, while we're at it...
I know that "should've" and "could've" and "would've" sound like "should of", "could of", and "would of", but that's not how you write it.
It's "should have", "could have", and "would have". This is why the apostrophe is there. We're skipping some letters.
This is for Anita who apparently doesn't believe me.
What I love about my little rant above is that... no one will understand what's wrong with my image, even with my title, so it won't score well and no one will read this, but... I feel SO MUCH BETTER! :D
