CRITIQUE CLUB!

There's really not much here for me to say. This is a well-done image, perfect in black and white, btw, and really makes me miss my crew days at IU.

My main irk is in the framing -- I'm not sure why the person on the left got cropped out (or just left out of the shot), but it does seem somewhat abrupt and leaves his oars out hanging. I would also like to see this with a little bit more of a severe contrast to see if the waterbreaks could be more like whitecaps and generally make the boat separated from the water more. Did that make sense?

Lovely photo. I can't wait to shoot outside again.

Good use of diagonals and the expression of motion is save by the water effects at the and of the rowing thingies. Good B&W.

Good capture of the action while maintaining a good composition, and it shows rhythm very well.

I would have prefered you not crop out the last rower. Also, framing the composition to show where they are going (as opposed to where they have been) would have worked better.

excellent shot... this shot works for 'rhythm' in more ways that one... the repepating patterns and the implied motion both support the topic very well... the contrast with the black and white is also nice :) i can't really offer any improvement here... i think, maybe a horizontal mirror of this shot would be effective also... great work :) - setzler

One of my top 2 picks this week. Everything about your picture is excellent, Focus, placement, satisfies the theme, interest, choice of black and white. Great job.

Great angle and I like the B/W. I wish the rower on the left wasn't cut out though.
