 I just went and purchased this lens Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0L IS USM and thought I'd try it out. Went to my fave spot to take these shots. It was pretty cold and windy and not many people around. I shot a few people playing football nothing special, then I was heading back to my car when I heard these two young people race up this hill, quickly turned around and fired away. This lens is superb not one missed focus. Pretty happy I bought it. I was going to title this "The winner" but thought it might sound presumptuous.

Let's see if it holds, would LOVE an over 8 score, that's my number one goal on DPC still yet to achieve.

Anita, just wanted to say I think this is among your very best of an amazing portfolio. Absolutely deserving of the blue, and wish you had held that 8+ score - this certainly deserved it

The overall effect of the image is one of tension and excitement. The viewer is drawn into the scene and left wondering what will happen next. The minimalist style of the image only serves to heighten the sense of drama, and the use of color is incredibly effective. This is the clear winner in this contest. And it would in any contest.
I guess it's Neat. (if not, consider it a compliment). Anyhow a big fat 10 from me.

I am a VERY rare 10 voter - but this is simply Devine! TEN - TEN - TEN! No highlights are blown, conveys great emotion and movement; it has EVERYTHING that a silhouette needs to be effective in my opinion, it tells a story with little detail. That is awesome! Congratulations on what I assume should be a blue ribbon!!
