By the way: Special thanks to my lovely girlfriend for bearing all the misery:

"Please sit down there in the window"
"Are you crazy, it's very dirty!"
"You don't do it for me, you do it for the art :-)"
"But YOU have to massage my feet later on and not the art!"
"Don't smile please, this is a despair challenge!"
"grrrrr"
"Can you open your jacket and pull up your knees?"
"Did you forgot that it's cold today?"
"Fine, this will help you to show the perfect expression of despair :-)"
"--expletive deleted--"

Look up, down, tearily, outstretch one leg, pull up again,(...), and now everything again with a different aparture...

Thank you Susi, this ribbon is dedicated to you ;-)!

Congratulations to your missing ribbon, my brother! Again you totally outdid me ;)

For those who are interested in, some more information about this shot:

The Location is an military training area nearby my hometown. But at the weekend it is allowed to enter at one's own risk. We waited until the afternoon to get the sunlight from the left side. I wanted to see the light only on the storefront and on the model. The rooms behind the windows should be dark to highlight the composition with the 4 different windows. In addition the extreme sidelight causes better contrasts. The shot was taken from the roof of a small building vis-à-vis and the camera position was approximately at the level of the middle of my shot. Otherwise (by shooting bottom-up) the perspective in the vertical lines would have destroyed the balance in the composition.

Thanks to all of you for giving me the missing red one too :-)!

Woh! Great shot. The balance between light and dark is perfect, and the title fits the content of the shot (which in turn fits the content of the challenge).

Bravo! Excellent framing. I love your square cropping that goes so well with the squared windows. Fantastic location. Excellent color. 10/10 [the only ten in my book this week]

This is my favorite of the lot. I can certainly see the influence of the squares challenge. Effective composition, the division into fourths is good. Very nice work.

My favourite shot in this challenge and the only 10 I've given. The synchronisation of this photo is pefect. Each window contains something completely different and I find my eyes going round in circles, but never off the photo itself. An excellent image, one to be proud of and you made the right choice to do it in B&W.
