Nice crop and use of backlight and DoF.

The one nit I have here, is the color and tone of the squirrel's coat blend too clsoely to the background, even thought the backlight helps delineate the shape. The squirrel lacks any 'snap', which I think could be lessened by adjusting the contast of the squirrel's coat. Darken the shadows and lighten the highlights of the coat and the subject will stand out more.

Nice candid shot.

A very good capture. These guys don't pose, so it is indeed a cool candid with lovely backlight.

It may be that you won't agree with me, but in my mind "candid" implies a photograph of a person at a candid (i.e. unaware of the camera) moment. So, to that way of thinking, this doesn't really meet the challenge.

Argh, the little buggers try and eat out of our birdfeeder too!. Brilliant squirrel picture however it feels to me when looking at this that the image is too heavy in the bottom left. Maybe a little farther away with the squirrel centered in the image would've been nicer, unless there's something that would've thrown off the bokeh (heh, I just learned that word this week and I'm already throwing it around :D) that you cropped out on purpose. I love the clarity here. To solve the problem, we have a little squirrel catcher around the pole supporting the feeder, as well as live animal traps around the bottom. ; )

Sweet shot - good backlighting, and fill flash. A touch more of the feet would have improved the comp, but focus is bang-on the eye.

Soft and fuzzy.
