I like the color tones and composition of this piece. The half circle of the bold yellow yolk is the center with the grooves in the plate invoke the idea of concentric circles rippling out from the center. I do wish the yellow yolk was a tad more up so that it would further strengthen the connection that it is the center from which those groves are radiating/rippling out from. Still it is a very interesting composition at times invoking a conceptual idea (I don't know if that was your intention when you created the piece) The composition invokes the idea that the yolk is the sun and the grooves of the plate are the planetary revolutions around it.

With all the comments...someone should have shared that "yoke" is spelled "yolk", actually...that is unless you're going to drape it across your ox's neck.

Great idea. Great color. I would really have to "nit-pik" to point out that the reflections from the light sources are a little too sharp and revealing. Probably should have been diffused.

i like the yellow on blue. i find the edge of the white distracting from the subject of the yolk for some reason.

This is great - the colour combination is really lovely, really rich and deep. Too many pale yolks in this challenge. Can't quite give it a 10 though - but good luck.

Unique and very creative, one of my favorites this week. The colors are working great together, the saturation is awesome. Your cropping makes it an interesting photo. Apart from the little reflection in the bottom left area of the egg there is nothing, what you could have done better here. But I know, that it's nearly impossible to eliminate them on a wet surface. Great work an good luck for the challenge!

This one of my two favourites this week. The clarity and sharpness is amazing. Without those bubbles on the side of the yoke this image would only have half the charachter it has.
