This is a nice surprise! So many great shots in this challenge. Thanks for all the high scores and encouraging comments. This is my highest rated entry yet. I've had quite a week with a 4th in Where is Waldo and my second ribbon for Bokeh.

Congratulations on your yellow. This continuous water droplet necklace is just too pretty for words. If one opts for spherical aberration then this is certainly a subtle bokeh. Spectacular effort.

Great definition of what I think this channel should be ... nice bokeh enhancing the picture. Good work!

this is an interesting image with good bokeh. i wonder if you could have shot it on a slightly different angle that would have allowed you to keep the whole subject in sharp focus. well, i won't quibble about that. the colors are outstanding and you definitely hit the challenge. hope to see you on the home page!

Absolutely brilliant, completely frame-able. I can see this hanging somewhere. Lovely composition and perfect use of the fuzzy background to enhance your subject. Very well done!

That's pretty good; wiithout the bokeh effect, the beautifully-fringed leaves would not have this impact. For example, if you'd shot against a perfectly plain dark "studio"-type background you'd still get the contrast against the moisture droplets, but you wouldn't get the striking natural feel you have achieved. 9.

Love the colour and the contrast, along with the pleasing composition. Subtle hint of circle of confusion artifacts. Judging by the smoothness of the bokeh, probably shot with a very high end lens. Very well done.

Returning to comment... Not only are you one of the few photos with actual bokeh, but it also enhances your subject. It's nice to see those red leaves against the darker and lighter shades. Nice contrast. The perfectly circular ice / water droplets are unusually shaped, but really add interest and beauty to the photo. Have some more photos to go through yet but IMO this is sure to ribbon.

I find this quite beautiful. I love the bright drops ringing the red leaves. The soft background shows bokeh at its best. Excellent image.

This is a great shot. The background works very nicely. The down side is that it seems a little oversharpened, and I think the border is a little too much.

The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." Definitely present. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? Yes indeed. Similar to my own shot. So of course I score this highly ;)

Nice bokeh. Image seems less than critically sharp, a problem when water droplets are key to the shot.
