what a creative way of to express a very real impression of society. I don't know if you intended it to be that deep, but for me it certainly nails the way i view myself, and society.

Everything was done in camera except ajustments in color and contrast. The face on the boy is a paper mache mask that I made for this shot. The other is just a generic plastic blank mask that I painted and added eyes to.

This is a perfectly exposed and composed capture. It sort of disturbs me, also. You've succeeded in making the viewer look and think! Great job!

well done image - definately holds interest, and is creepy.
surprised no one mentioned there actually being a face - my entry got pounded for that reason.

keep it up.

Let me address some of the comments I recieved during the voting. First off thank you for the votes and comments. For those of you who found this image disturbing, unsettling or creepy - great - that tells me I got my feeling across. The contrast in this image is strong if anything, but the colors are subdued. This I did on purpose. For those of you who have never woken up at 6 AM cold and damp in an alley, with paper in your mouth, and the world still spinning, then let me explain: Nothing is sunny and bright and full of colors. As far as the age of the model, lets just say that during Mardi Gras here in the US or Carnival in the rest of the world, the legal drinking age has more to do with being physically able to drink then about actual laws.

Creative, nice color, lighting, focus and sharpness. Don't understand using a child in the photograph but still a great shot.

This picture is very unsettling and therefor good. It evokes emotion... a faceless man staring right at us with sightless eyes... creepy and good.

This is an excellent photo and shows how a photo without photoshopping and wow-pop can still be extraordinary. This is emotive, interesting, well taken, and perfect for the challenge. I will be very upset if this doesn't do well. 10

Totally creepy. But there's very little contrast. Did you consider going black and white?
