Well there you go - Two 48 hour challenges, Two sixth places :). I hope I haven't peaked!

Well this one was a bit of an adventure. I had to work both days of the 48 hour period so I had absolutely no daylight minutes in which to take a photograph for this challenge - so the second day before work I woke up 45 minutes earlier than usual and set out into the neighbourhood in hope of finding something to photograph. Thankfully I came accross this plant in the front yard of a random old lady up the road - I think I scared her a little poking around her fenceline, so I put on my best boy scout manner and asked her if I could photograph her beautiful garden for a competition I was entering (this probably confused the heck out of her as the yard was virtually bare, and these plants are actually pretty ugly). So following my hurried explanation, I snapped off 70 odd shots (here's to my new dSLR!!!!), picked one and edited it in five minutes flat, hit submit and jumped into the shower. I was only ten minutes late for work! Best part was coming home to a decent score - made the uncomfortable morning well worth the effort.

Great shot sam. Igave it a 10 and was disappointed it did not ribbon. In my persona list, I had you 2nd behind the 3 smokestacks ribbon winner.

I've seen some nice images in this challenge, and I've given some good scoes. Still, I was waiting for the one that makes me say WOW! and this is it. Great composition, detail is there, colors are great, DOF to throw the background out of focus. Perfect 10 from me! From what I've seen so far, I expect this to ribbon. Good Luck,
JD
