I am afraid this "road sign" may not sit too well with some of the voters, but I consider it a valid (while admittely non-orthodox) take on the challenge theme. Had to "finger" about 30 cars before catching a good shot without being insulted back, which I consider a major success :)

Very straighforward shot, operating my camera (on my lap on a tripod) with one hand and posing with another. Used a longish exposure (1/25s) with ND filter on in order to get a motion blur on a bypassing car.

Post-processing: rotation, cropping, contrast, USM, Neat image, save for web.

Hindsight: shoul've cleaned the mirror before the shoot.

Howdy from the CC:
For me, this image has a lot of destracting elements from the primary subject. It seems to me that the images that do the best on this site have a single clear, visually intresting subject. This image seems to go for more of a story telling angle.

The coloration is clear and the focus is sharp. I do enjoy the motion blur of the BMW. I think the best way to make this image stronger is to remove the destractions. IE, take off the watch and perhaps the this image either deep in the city where the building have a unifor look or out in the country where, there are now buildings/roadsigns. Great idea for an images and bear in mind that many voters don't go for "comedy" images and "vulgar" images. Keep it up, it seem you have the techinical ability to create quality images, now just play around with subject matter. IMHO.

Easily one of my favorites for the challenge. You were robbed by the fussy intolerance of the PC police. Clearly one of the most underrated images, IMHO.

I told you "naughty" but gave you a 7 because I think it's quite meaningful of the times and shows intolerance in many ways, some call it "road rage" I'm old enough to feel it's rude but my kids think it's normal and not offensive at all, sign of the times I suppose. The photo itself certainly didn't deserve 28 1's !!!

Nice interpretation of the challenge. Something new, finally. Not that interesting for what concerns composition etc but the subject is well chosen, obvious, and it might be the only 'road sign' understood everywhere in the world. 10.

More common than a stop sign, more powerful than a red light....what an original capture!

The motion blur of the car is well captured here. It makes this all come to life. Great vibrant colours and sharpness.

minor point this, but perhaps a slightly better title would have been "THE road sign"--

Vulgar and offensive. Vulgarity might be acceptable if it is artistic in some way. This isn't.

I recognize that... it's the international "You're Number One" sign.

Great photo, and a refreshing take on this challenge. Loved it and voted accordingly. Good luck with the challenge.

By far the most creative and expressive road sign in the challenge. Image quality is superb and including the car on the raod is perfect. This should have a ribbon attached come this time next week.

If you would have gotten the other car in focus and had a funny expression on the other driver, I would have enjoyed it more.
