I like the expansiveness of this photo. I like the red light being the only color.

Congratulations on your 11th placing. This image has that confortable expanse to allow the eyes to bathe in its beauty.

Love the contrast between the sharpness of the light house and the softness of the sky.

I love this - having the only color spot be the red light is fantastic. The space to the left of the light, the sea, sky, and three birds all work beautifully here.

Beautiful coastal scene. Birds are a nice touch. 8

white outline of red light is very strange. don't know what to make of it...

Lovely lovely image. I really like the selective desaturation here, it gives the scene a lovely bleak look, and makes the light look welcoming almost. 10.

I see this as a three-way satisfaction of the challenge ... the beacon(s), the sparkling light on the water, and the light, open composition. And I like all three. 8

The selective coloring of the red here seems off to me (I think because of the white outline?). Otherwise, this is a nice shot. I particularly like the birds.

Perfect. The trio of gulls in the distance makes this one special. Have you tried processing this one a bit more and blackening the sand? Might add more dramatic contrast between the relatively similar hues of the sand, rocks, and lighthouse. 10

This is something beautiful to put on the wall. Nice lights and shades. Also three birds in sky.

Poor use of selective desaturation in an otherwise well composed landscape.

Interesting choice for b&w. I often like selective color but I'm not sure I do here. This also looks to be oversharpened. I like the comp. though.

This is a stunning photograph. The only thing that kept me from giving it a 10 was the red light. It would have been so beautiful in all b&w and, in my opinion, would still meet the challenge. The focus is just wonderful, as is the composition.

I wish that you desaturated the whole photo instead of leaving the light red, it doesn't look right. Still a good shot

Probably have better without the red light. I like the overall light.

This image is in many ways very effective, but the haloing from sharpening is a major distraction for me, and the pure red seems overstated, it is almost at the level of trickery. Had you left a hint of color int he foreground, I'd have liked it better.
