WOW- just ran across this in the "pictures that take your breath away" discussion. It has an old 40's film sense, yet it is more clear and rich. Wonderful composition and lots of mid tones.

Great idea and use of props, light and shadow to to create an eerie feel. Wish I had a willing model like her. I only wish her right eye was also visable. Well done & Bumping up.

I feel I should like this more; you've gone to a lot of trouble & also taken a technically good photograph. However, it just seems a bit cold and staged to me (of course I do realise it's not supposed to be a candid shot, but it still feels unconvincing anyway). Plenty of style but not enough substance is what I'm trying to say. I may well be in the minority, of course. Sorry. 5

What a story here..well done all the way round, the gate, shadows, play of light, one hidden eye, and one still looking...beauty and harshness....I can learn a lot from this photo.
