I couldn't resist dusting off my Sigma 105mm Macro for this shot. A little too obvious to do well maybe...

Thanks for all the kind words and comments... you know I wish that I had included more flower now! :-)

Still, this was one of my first shots with my Sigma 105mm Macro lens. Which is a great lens... but I was not able to get further away from the subject than this (withought resorting to a step ladder!)

I will improve for the next time!

Not sure about the tight crop, but the detail and color on the gerbera is excellent.

I like the tight focus, crop, DOF and composition. Almost looks 3 dimentional. Well done!

This flower is reaching out to kiss the viewer. Aggressive? Yes, but all beauty is allowed to take the initiative. Bumping from 6 to 7.

Finally, I know the name of these flowers! But really, I'm not the biggest flower dude around but I really enjoyed viewing this on. Very sharp and clear focuse on the Gerbera, and the DOF is superb. Almost seems like the flower is reaching out to you!

I think this is my favorite of the challenge (other than mine, haha). Nice pretty color, good focus, interesting POV. Not a bad thing to say about it.

Good luck!

This is a beautifully taken shot and a great idea. The crop is a bit too tight for my taste, but that is just opinion.

I took an almost identical shot, but didn't enter it. My glass was green and the daisy had water droplets on it , but the composition was identical. And I liked it, so I like yours, too. Was just afriad it wouldn't do well. So I'll be interested to see how yours does in comparison with what I did enter. Good luck!

Lovely, the flower looks just beautiful and the blurred glass is just right, too. My eyes keep wanting to see the rest of the flower, I'd love to see a version that has a whole flower in it. The pink color is so restful and peaceful.
