 Thank God I brought my camera with me when my wife and I went to Jiffy Lube to get the oil changed! I walked into the waiting room and immediately saw this great photo op, and realized that this would be a perfect fit for the "Passing Time" challenge! Serendipitous...

After I took a few shots, the Jiffy Lube lady called me over to try to sell me those extras (fancy oil, air filter, wiper blades, etc.). By the time she was done, some other people had come into the waiting room and sat down, so I couldn't take any more photos like this one.

What a brilliant composition! It looks self-evident now that you've done it, but it would have been easy to get this all wrong, and you didn't. You got it exactly right, in my view. 8

Fantastic overall sharpness, tonality is great as well.

Very nice in black & white. Gives a boost to the starkness you typically find in a waiting room.

Light is wonderful, a bit bright over by the woman, but I think that helps focus your attention on her more than detracting.

Fits the subject very well. I really like the cleanliness of the image. 9.

A nice candid. I wonder whether cropping out the chair on the left would make a difference, as I feel that it intrudes a bit.

Great composition and lighting. The crop to the left is somewhat disappointing and the whole shot feels it should have been rotated slightly clockwise (look at the convergence of the horizontal lines in the glass blocks by the subject). Very fitting for the theme, and nice use of B&W - hope this does well.

GREAT photo for capturing the essence of the challenge theme. Very nice cropping. Love the glass block wall and that you captured three segments of it. Nicely lit.
