the only reason i could see would be the grayscale isn't quite to that of ansel's famous zone system.......no pure black apears in this image and there for voters to for granted the beauty and the simmularities between this image and many of ansel's.

i'm also sorry this didn't place higher great shot very nice leading lines u can really get lost in this.

I love the pattern. One small quibble would be that there appears to be a little grain in the sky.

Sweet and mellow. A little noisy in the sky. A hair more luminance in the foregroudn dune, not "contrast" exactly but a sense of light glowing int he ripples, woudl take this to the next level.

i would have not included the sky at all, and even chop off the top of the dune, that way it would be just a pattern.

Nice work with light, texture and form in this semi abstract photo. Seems a bit grainy at the top. -7

Image embodies what Ansel Adams studied; form, light and shadow! Well done!

Vey nice pic, maybe not enough black for the AA style, according to the threads I've read, still I like it 7

I can't help thinking Adams would have included a lot more sky with this image. Also I would have pushed the contrast up so that the darkest areas were much closer to black. Otherwise a well observed and composed image of a visually appealing subject. Well done 7
