 I wanted to convey the idea that the bottle is no use without the glass, and vice versa :)

I used full manual mode, a long exposure because i wanted to set a fairly narrow aperture and still work in low light. The bottle was backlit with a small battery torch, and i used flash adjusted -2 stops to bring out the label and add more reflections to the glass.

No additional colour or contrast adjustment was performed in post-processing, just a slight sharpen to bring out the details obscured by resizing.

Speaking of which, i was quite disappointed with the amount of detail i lost resizing to 640 - at full size you can clearly read the label and make out all the details of the etching on the silver platter, not just those below the bottle.
