This marker for a South Carolina soldier stood out at first for being different amongst the many other cement markers. Only afterward did I remember that South Carolina was the first State to attempt secession from the US, ultimately leading to the civil war. Therefore the title.

Invert selection - promote to layer (bg)
- select top of cement markers
- Brightness & Contrast: Brightness -30, Contrast +11
Clone, dodge, burn and blur white rectangular spot on lower section of cross to darken/match.
Resize
Save as JPG
Sharpness: USM (.35,125,3)
