I just wish the clouds hadn't covered so much of the peak. It's not like you had a lot of control over that. I like it.

Hey, I recognized this shot immediately... I have a similar one from a trip to St. George last year! :-)

I like the "layers" in this photo and that is a seriously abandoned building.

the old smith place is definitely abandoned, but it's not the focus of this picture, the sky with clouds that may forewarn of a storm, the snow-capped peaks in the far background, the red rock ridge in the near bg, and the greens of the valley floor all work together to overwhelm the part that was supposed to be the point of interest, this meets the topic in only the most periphereal of ways and I'm taking off a point for that, other than that it is a very appealing and wellexecuted shot, I like the wide variety of color and the great depth of field

Beautiful. Very nice color contrasts, from sky to clouds, to mountain, to rock, to growth.

I'd have to say that's pretty much abandoned, yes. Gorgeous backdrop.

I would have cropped out the road on this one, but make no mistakes...it is a stunning shot. Nicely done.

I might have cropped this a bit differently by cutting the road off at the bottom.

As the realtors say - Location, location, location. What a backdrop for this ruin.

Nice shot. I think I would probably have cropped tighter, focusing more on the building remains though. But don't lose that sky!!

It looks like the main focus here is the mountains and the sky. This is a beautiful picture but not for this challenge.

Very nice. Good DOF. Great color and saturation. Beautiful textures. Great clarity. And a _very_ abandoned house! :-)

Very nice image, but relying too much on the wonderful scenic background. I would really like to see more detail, color and texture in the 'abandoned building'.

Absolutely beautiful landscape. It seems just a bit overexposed. If you make one of those shadows behind the walls your black point, the shot should look even better. But even without any changes, this is a really gorgeous photo.

I don't think here is any building

WOW, was just commenting on how crappy some of these pics were, but yours was a breathe of fresh air! Love the color sat. and exposure is dead on, excellent sense of scale -- highest rank yet. . .GJ
