this is Nam. Yes, he is holding this pose. He can hold it for a few seconds before having to let go. me and bigjohnny had 5 breakdancers in the studio on friday, and we got a whole lot of cool shots. Backflips, breaks and freezes... here they are, and they are all photographs:

A cool stretch.

Looks severely oversharpened, at least on my screen but other than that pretty good shot. I canĀ“t help but wonder what it would have looked like with a natural backround, like a meadow or something but it works like it is. Great job.

Slightly oversharpened on his jeans. Cool pose and composition. 7

Great vibe through the processing. The subject is bang-on, but the composition is a tad too tight to the bottom and it is oversharpened. Lighting is clear but it lacks aatmosphere - although this would be a fairly good stock photo for a subject like 'bending over backwards'.

As an artistic photo, I'm not sure what I think of it really. Its main appeal for me is the tones and definition but the pose doesn't sit well aesthetically, despite the brilliant athlete involved. I wouldn't hang it myself, but it's probably a ribboner though.

oversharpenned

best one I have seen so far. the color and exposure is odd, but does not distract negatively. good job. and the flexibility of the subject look painful.

i would assume that you rotated this, but some things indicate otherwise (ie: the pants hanging down). either way, nice looking shot. the shadows are of minor concern to me, although others might differ in opinion.

Not sure whether this is a handstand or a trick shot leaning far back against a wall. The layout is fantastic, colors are not too stark, sharpness is "bang-on" and it fits the challenge very well. Bumping up to a 6. Good luck!

I love the way you have the totally white background. It may be just a tiny bit oversharpened, but it's an awesome picture!!!

Like.. wow man.
I look after a 7 year old that is beginning to learn moves like this in gymnastics, and what I wouldn't give for a large enough background to capture her doing said moves without a cluttered and messy environment. I've always been partial to this kind of photography.

If you could PM me sometime and let me know what you used for a backdrop and lighting set-up, I'd very much appreciate it.

This is a great image - perhaps oversharpened a tad and the skin doesn't look "real" but great lighting, composition and "action"!
