I can't believe how lucky I was to come across this great scene. It was a rainy, gray day which was perfect for the mood that I wanted for this challenge, but to come across this canister with "Pride" stenciled on it in front of this collapsing great old barn was just amazing.

Converted from Raw to JPG with RawShooter, adding 50% fill light.

In Gimp:
Curves to increase the contrast at the dark end and mute the light end a little bit.
Convert to B&W with the channel mixer, high on the red and low and the blue and green.
More curves to pop the contrast a little bit more.
Crop, resize, USM, Colorize, and border.

Great exposure and beautiful toning, but your crop makes me wanna see more. Pull back a tad and this would be awesome!

Funny how something could stare one right in the face and not see it.
I looked for a connection to the title and didn't see it at first, trying to pay more attention to the building than anything else.
The crop is a little off with the top of the roof missing. maybe a tighter crop or a wider angle would have helped this out a bit.
Interesting tone, perhaps a bit too yellow, but still effective.

Not sure about the composition. Maybe it's just me, but it seems the tree in the middle was your main subject.

Interesting shot. Good title. I think I'd have preferred to see the barn without the tree blocking the view. Maybe change the angle....don't lose the can. Nice exposure.

focal point is more on the barrel than the builiding unfortunately and the tree is blocking the shot. I would like to see this shot with you shooting a little more to the left and getting the top of the builing in, if this was the case the building would look ok not being the centre of attention.

Nice subject. I like the tone of the shot. I like how you've got the barrell and tree in the foreground, it adds some interest to the shot. I think you've chosen a nice composition here. Works pretty good. Just a tiny nitpick, I wish the top peak weren't cut off, bit I don't feel it is a major problem at all, very minor. Good job.

the tree is obscuring the building, i find that mildly annoying
