Glenn Dale Hospital
This hospital was used beginning in the 1930s through the '50s as a Sanitarium for those with tuberculosus. When TB died down it became a place "to go and die" until 1984 when it was finally shut down and abandoned. This is the front door to the Adult wing. There is also a large children's wing. I found this place so fascinating I am going back in the next few weeks to complete a series.

Shot in RAW, worked with balance contrast, desaturate, convert to grey scale, duotone with brown. Levels.

This reminded me of Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital mini series. Creepy looking but very cool. I love it.

This really is a great take on this challenge. Haunting, disturbing..just like it should be..desaturation especially effective.

Straight on works well in this one. Wonderful tones of sepia and white. Gives this a moody feeling.

Great shot but the angle is off and it makes it very distracting. I like the B&W conversion and the fact that it is centered. I find it gives this photo a certain characteristic. Well done and good luck with this challenge.

What is that on the center bottom? A bit distracting, but otherwise a well composed shot.

Very well seen and great tone selected! Dark, uninviting and for sure, abandoned.
(why am I reminded of Jumanjii?) LOL

Nice clarity & detail. Wish it had been a slightly taller crop - want to see what's above the door...

I like the image very much, cropping is a bit tight for a doorway shoot in my opinion.
