Yes, I agree that the focus is not quite on the eyes - but it was a very quickly taken shot and the only one of him taken at that time (I think his name is Hiroki). I almost didn't enter it, but I thought, what the hey, it had good comments at my PAD site.

charming face -- a little orange but that may be my monitor

A lovely portrayal with that ring of innocence.

Seems a little soft focus on the eyes.

If I only saw the eyes I would still love this shot

Nice full frame. Wish the eyes had a bit more "sparkle" to them.

Wonderful expression. Would have loved to see a tighter focus and more clarity in the eyes.

Very nice portrait, and a very photogenic subject. The framing is very good, the tighness of the crop does a lot for the image. However the eyes are a little dull, you could try dodging the whites and dodging the (very pale) catchlights...it would make it an excellent picture. Good work.

Great smiling eyes but missing the sparkle. It is just a bit to dark.

need better focus, and lighting could be more interesting: the eyes are totally dark (check out similar portraits by librodo for insipration)

A bit more dof and it would be perfect.

Nice and expressive, wish you´d sharpened this a little more and focus is on the mouth and nose and not eyes as it should be, pity.....focus on eyes, then move the camera slightly down and press, the nose is always closest so it "steals" the focus..

I don't care for the close crop on his chin.

Great portrait! One of my favorites of the challange! I gave it a 10 and then realized I had to come back to comment, so here I am. Wonderful!!!!

Good closeup shot. I would have liked to see the focus on the eyes instead of the tip of the nose though
