This is good. The black and white freshens up the old idea of a long exposured highway. I don't like how the lightpost in the center is cut, but that's only a minor flaw.

well done among many unbusy street pics in challlenge ... b&w, perfect exposure, and interesting church make this very, very nice

beautiful! even with the lines from the roads and headlights my eye is still drawn to the church in the background. well done!

I think the colors (headlights/tailights) would make this much more effective.

Nice B&W

cool shot. The street lights aren't too bright and add a nice effect. Great in b/w for certain. Good luck.

I'd like to see the color version with the red and white car lights. Still very nice, though! 8

I like the BW version of what would otherwise be another 'long lights' pic.

Impressive. Church really adds to the picture.

good composition, nice use of contrast compression. beware of image noise in the the sky, though, one way to do this is to adjust contrast in two layers and then merge them via "multiple" in PS.

Why B&W? I'm sure this one looks better in colors. Just my opinion.

one of the few good b&w shots in this challenge

That´s a good one. I wander if I would have processed it a bitt different, vieleicht a little bit more colour in the lights of the cars then in the surrounding? Like your work. When I try and hold a paper just a little over the road the is highes I get a completely new picture (by covering the church. Did you crop this?
05/04/2005 05:24:14 PM
This is nice, but I didn't even notice the lights of the traffic until I read the title. I would have like it in color better. (But I like everything better in color, so that's just me.) Good shot overall.

Awesome! Black and white looks really good on this picture. I love how sharp it is.

I'm not sure B&W was the right choice here.

Looks great in B&W. I know this is a basic editing challenge but I just wonder what a splash of colour would do for the image. Maybe just the rear lights of the cars in colour. Red on B&W. Remember the little girl with the red coat in Schindlers list. Just an opinion.........9..........

The second night traffic scene so far, and I'm only half a dozen pictures in. The lighting on this is good, though due to the sheer number of lights, the flaring effect on all of them adds up to quite a distraction. The lit building in the background is a nice touch, but overall the scene strikes me as very ordinary. I may just be very jaded to this sort of effect.

Black & white was a great choice for this shot. The church/cathedral looks like a double exposure.
