Sunset on the way home from a track meet. So, no, not "that darn beach" as in Cannon Beach, but still a seascape =).

Editing:
B&C, Cropping, mild healing, much color balancing, little burning, image size, usm.

This is the Peter R'dale at the mounth of the Columbia River in Oregon? Please confirm this when the voting is over(I'm hidden) That is where I was born and raised... not on the ship, silly, in Astoria. If its not, it sure looks like it. Beautiful shot, by the way. Love the color.

Absolutaly beyond a doubt one of the most beautifull silhouettes I have ever seen. Very stong and crisp lines. The boat alone is enough to make this a great shot. But then you give us a spectacular and brilliant sunset with mountains of perfect colors. This is to much to ask for. Absolutaly wonderfull. 10

I was going to take a shot of this very location but wasn't able to make it out to the coast over the weekend, and ended up not entering at all. I am glad someone caught it -- it's a beautiful place, and haunting. Nice capture, good colors, and definitely says sillouette.

Ahhhhhhh... the Peter Iredale. Nice to see people out and about taking pictures of Oregonian historic interest. Decent DOF for the lighting conditions. Overall a very good image. I'd recommend darkening black some to remove a slight hue in the black resulting from slight color overprocessing.

great subject and sky. foreground is out of focus, I would have composed differently: stood further back and surrounded the wreck with space to isolate subject - it appears to move out of frame to the left. Might have trid it with less sky and more sea (sky reflected in sea).
