Agreed on the soft focus being unappreciated here, as I watch one of mine bite the big one. I love a little noise and grain. The frame sets it off nicely but it's a bit too big IMHO given that our display size here is limited to 640 on the long side. Look forward to more from you.

This is a wonderful example of soft focus and has actually done pretty good in the scoring at this site. Soft focus is very under appreciated here. I for one love the effect. I am kinda saddened though that you decided to frame it in such a large border. I would have much rather seen the shot using more of the frame. I believe that would have gotten you a higher score. I may be wrong, but that's MHO.

I like the border if used for a print. However, here it dominates the image. It makes it too difficult to focus on the actual picture, imho. That said, the picture of the child looks very good, I just wish there was more of it and less of the border. Composition and lighting of the actual image is done well.

Great shot! I really like it. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the border, which seems a bit overpowering.

Beautiful photo, completely ruined by the awful border

The frame is horrible and doesn´t do anything for me personally but detract attention from the photo. That aside and trying to ignore the frame the shot is very nice and I love the lighting and the high key feel to it. Especially like the tones and composition along with the soft focus in the image. Ended up giving it an 8, good job.

Very nice indeed. Normally I don't mind borders, but I think this one is overdone. The shot itself is gorgeous.

This is a lovely image. I would like to see a little more light in the eye, and way less border. The soft focus effect works well for a shot like this, in my opinion.

I really like this image, beautiful light and softness, lovely composition...that HUGE white border just isn't needed...totally detracts from the image. I would use max. image size allowed, the 640 pixels, for the image...I would have loved to have seen this much larger.

The huge white border is very distracting...it is all I see. Would have been a lovely picture. Perhaps using less border and a darker color would be better.

Lovely image totally denatured by the excessive framing, IMO.
