It was a nice day with interesting clouds. I was trying to think of a way I could incorporate that into my Photo, so I decided to goto the Airport. A 45 minute drive from my house, and by that time all the clouds had disapeared. Oh well. I took about 70 shots (some ended up just blank sky) before I got this one.

Used PS7 to adjust the Hue/Saturation, sharpen, and crop.

Greetings from the Critique Club :)

First, let me say congratulations on the Top 20 finish! This is a great shot!

The saturation of colors is very nice, but almost to the point of hurting the eyes and the focus seems a bit soft on the sign and the nose of the plane.

I can appreciate how difficult it was to get this shot. Waiting about a half second longer before shooting would probably have given us the whole plane, but I don't think the missing tail section detracts too much from the shot.

All in all, I think this is a great shot and one of which you should be proud.

Good luck in future challenges!

Sher :)

I enjoy unusual shots that take some planning or those that are caught by chance. Neat idea!

nice idea, but the stop sign is distracting

Nice timing! lovely contrast of blue and red. Jacko. 8 seems to be a bit fuzzy (out of focus?). good luck.

Very clever. I like your background. Lighting seems a bit bright IMO, but this shot is definitely one of the better ones.

good idea. better alignment and/or not having clipped off the tail would have made the picture a little more effective. nice color.

Very clever idea - the contrast of the colours is about all my eyes can take! Very nice.

Timing is everything. What would have made this even better would be to have the entire plane visible. (IMO) Otherwise good composition, exposure and contrast.

Super-saturation makes this really hit home! For some reason, jets and street traffic signs make a great combo.
