You met the challenge quite well here with some very good leading lines and it is very well composed.
It may be a little dark but I feel this adds a certain charm to the image as there is plenty of detail in the dark areas and this image should have scored higher. Keep up the good work. |

Zemm, this is absolutely beautiful! I can't believe what an eye for photograpny you have, and a talent for execution. The leading lines in this are so striking, taking you right past that beautiful lighthouse.
You have so much talent! Keep up the excellent work!

Too dark.. not necessarily because of your camera settings but beause it's just not a very well lit scene. The darkness does add to the atmosphere though. |

This is a good try, however far to dark. Nice subject and composition, poor lighting. |

I really like the lines here, but feel that the overall shot is a little too dark and a bit more sharpening would not go amiss. |

Bumping up the contrast and moving the lighthouse in just a little more would help I think. |

Nice lighthouse. The sidewalk, which i assume is your leading line, goes right past the main point of intreat and into the bushes. Also the exposure is a bit dark on the fence and lighthouse. IMHO. |

Leading lines or curves generally have two purposes. One is to lead the viewer into the scene. The other is to lead you toward the main subject. It is most effective if they come in from the lower left because that is the natural direction humans visually scan a picture from so are easiest to pick up.
Classic use of a walkway to direct attention you your main subject. This image is underexposed and low contrast which will hurt it in voting. |

I generally love lighthouse pictures but this is too dark. Am I supposed to notice the sky then the lighthouse? I am confused. |
