These are my 6 and 9-year-old nephews, both of whom do an admirable job of picture-taking. Here they're shooting the castle at Old Fort Niagara in Youngstown, NY. (One of these days I'm going to get them an account on DPC!)

I cloned out a distracting tent that was visible between the boys' legs. Levels, slight desaturation, and usm were then applied.

Nice repeating composition with the flagpoles.

Paul, the portrait shot of the little guy (in blue) came out just fine. Problem is, he just got the white flag and completely missed the fort. Doh! ;-). Must have been 100+ frames among us (gotta love digital and those compact flash disks!)

YES! Terrific image. Just perfect. two kids, matching poses, two flags with matching poses. Leading lines point to center - kids and flags Old fort is the anchor, paths encourage the viewer to wander around the image. nice colors boys wearing brighter versions of the sea, sky and grass. Textbook composition.

I really like this shot!! Colours, composition, focus and dof are great and the matching body positions really makes the shot!

the kids add a nice touch to an already attractive shot. I wish the flags were more to the right but nothing you can do.

I like the compsotion and idea of the shot, but I think a little more care could have been given to the shadows of the two kids, and the shadows on the blue shirt. They appear too dark.

Ha! One of my favorite pasttimes - taking pictures of people taking pictures! ike the composition - interesting balance with the flagpoles and the boys. Colors good - maybe a touch more contrast. Focus good. 8 - good luck in the challenge!

Lovely picture. The scenery and the colors are nice. I'm curious...what does the white flag represent? You can tell me if you know after the challenge, if you remember.

I love how the two boys mimic the two flags. Wish it weren't so overexposed, but I'm sure it's due to the time of day. The colors of their complementary shirts work well too.
