 My niece, Nina. I shot this from a distance while she and her sister played in the pool, so used my long lens. Used spot metering, which underexposed it a bit, so tweaked curves and levels. Then straightened and cropped, blurred and darkened the background behind her head and pool, reduced size and sharpened.

I just love this photo! It's perfect in every way. The girl being cute helps, but the composition, the expression captured, the colours all work towards this magnificent photo. Good stuff.

Oh this is a magazine cover!!! Perfect complimentary colors. The water rolling off and her smile - just super. The skintones couldn't be more natural. BRAVO
