thanks - right about the plate ! I'd intended to spray the plate too - i mean, if midas had touched the plate......but realized the contrast would'nt work then...so i was stuck with the red plate..

Such a terrible, terrible waste. ...of a burger and fries, I mean. ;-) I missed this in the voting, but it is very creative and finished very well! Good job.

Interesting take on the challenge, but yet very strange...not very appitizing looking.
08/07/2005 09:16:48 PM
haha, unfortunately not everyone will pick up the mythology reference. But even so, good technical shot.
08/07/2005 05:37:13 PM
lol, great~!
08/07/2005 05:34:45 PM

08/06/2005 11:19:37 PM
Haha this is a funny idea. I'm liking it. I give you points for creativity!

My hat is off to you for going the farthest out of your way to compose a still life for this challenge. Just brilliant!! 8

Definately one of the more unique concepts I've seen in this challenge.
08/04/2005 09:47:20 PM
Well thought out and very original. You get a 10 for the effort.
08/04/2005 05:01:25 PM
Cool, nice setup effort!

LOL... superb idea.... very good...

I like what you are trying to say with this. The red plate helps the colours. Did yu eat them afer I wonder? Good luck
08/03/2005 03:34:10 PM
Aluminium foil painted gold? Great idea! But not a great set up. The lighting is too harsh, softening or diffusing it would have been much better. And the composition is quite confusing and not flattering, I think either the whole plate should have been shown a better angle could have been chosen to avoid the bits of table on the corners.
08/03/2005 02:32:50 PM
I'm going to score as if you've done this yourself, really good idea...
08/03/2005 01:39:31 PM
Your creativity is amazing!
08/03/2005 12:02:31 PM
VERY clever idea. Have to give you high marks for creativity and uniquely meeting the challenge. I'm not crazy about the composition/crop though - the space around the edge of the plate bothers me (not sure if it's cropped too tight or too loose on one side). Anyway, still getting a high score from me. Great job!

ha ha ha...but shouldn't the plate be gold too?
08/03/2005 02:39:43 AM
VERY clever! Thumbs way up!

The harsh lighting prevents one from seeing the "Midas" effect.
