Chariot races were a popular pastime in ancient Gerasa (modern day Jerash) in Jordan. Attempted panning in poor light, came out as a rather ghostly, thrown into the past, image. Hope other people will see it the same way. USM, levels to bring out stronger red color.

I suppose its a difference in artistic style, but I would have liked to seen the chariot and driver a bit better, with less blur. A bit of blur would still have given it a "traveling through time" feel, if that's what you were going for, but made it easier to enjoy. 6

This should be in a frame hanging on an office wall somewhere ! Great Job 8

good, but too much motion blur effect. may be the guy more sharper.

Interesting effect! It seems as if you've intentionally panned beyond the typical freeze-subject pan...and to good effect! ( I recently tried this with carousel horses with so-so results.)
On the down side, the thick frame is not necessar and seems to detract from the delicate lines of the harnesses. It would be nice if there were more of the chariots in the frame as my eye keeps traveling right in hopes to see a bit more.
Overall, this appears to be a successful technique worth exploring further.

Cool shot. Had this been in black and white I would have scored it higher. Nicely done.

This is the type of style I like its different and one feels the excitement of the chariots thundering around the course 10

Surely those blinkers weren't in use until Trajan's triumph over the Dacians in 106 AD? ;) But seriously...excellent work. I have no idea how it was done and I don't care. Movement, action, timing, it's all there. 8 from me.

This is a great movement shot. I like that you can still distinguish the horses. Nicely done. The colors are effective.

The way the motion blur works here makes the phot very special, timeless. One of two 10's in this challenge.

it'd be better if a little less blurry, but good subject matter -- plus horse-drawn chariots are always cool

This would probably score higher in a "speed" challenge. Don't think people will understand what you are trying to say here. Good luck though, and it is a great shot!

Nice shot. I'd Prefred it B&W, but I guess the colours add it to it. 9
