The top of a tombstone located in Halifax's Old Burying Grounds. This cemetry dates all the way back to 1749. Some the tombstones of the late 18th century have these interesting winged skulls carved into them.

I like this photgraph ALOT! This tombstone is so unique. The Black & White just makes this picture so much better. It's so graphically moving. I love it! I hope you do well.

I think that if you have shown more of the grave stone that this would have worked better.

The "gothic" look of this is a good indication of the time period. The tones on the stone are really nice. A slight crop on the top would have removed some of the distracting bright spots.

Oh... I love these old early american tombstones...I loved going through the old cemetaries when I visited my grandfather in Plymouth Mass. The B & W is so nice as is the DOF and clarity...very nicely done. A favroite for sure.
