The strong part of this photo is that it is telling us a story. The negative is that I think you have competing focal points in the composition. De-emphasizing the hand in some way might help, or maybe rather the showerhead since the photo is about the singer.

Thanks everyone -- lots of interesting/fun comments!

This one highlights my biggest problem with the set-up: how to shoot at this angle without the camera being right in the stream of water, so I decided the "finalé" would occur just as the person stepped out of the shower.

I agree having a little more arm showing would be good, but this was the best of the lot -- all shot handheld -- that I could get with the showerhead a little in-focus. Low light created the grain to start with, so I just accentuated it -- to me, the effect rather resembles a mezzotint

I can't believe the 1's here. Singing in the shower was the first concept that came to my mind with this challenge. I didn't use it because I had no vision of the photo. I think you accomplished it creatively. I can picture the "performer" singing "My Way." Kudos for going outside the box. Grain is just fine for me.

May have been implied but I see nothing in the challenge details that would indicate that "live" required having an audience. So the number of 1 votes seems excessive. I thought the concept of this one was rather clever even if I didn't particularly care for the execution. I would like to suggest for a companion shot putting the camera on a tripod in timer mode, using the shower head as a mic, and creating some wicked shampoo horns.

While others might object to it, I think the grain in this photo is great.

Uhm... I see where you are coming from with the thought, but for me this photo didn't fit as well as the others submitted and personally, I would like this better had it been crisper and more focused.

Nice idea, very imaginative! But the grain detracts from it for me.

I like this - I think the grainy B&W style works. In terms of fit with "live" music .... it would have helped if we could see a crowd of people gathered around watching and listening to you shower.

Made me laugh! I like the idea, it's something everyone can relate to. The grain and b/w add to the photo, well done.

a topic-stretching picture needs to be superior to pull it off. This is too grainy and out of focus. I get the idea though.

Not sure how this meets the challenge. The shot is much to grainy and out of focus.

this just doesn't have the feel it should too me, maybe if I saw more of the arm so the hand would be making a statement
