| Toning on this a little harsh on the red side. Think it would have been better with softer colors. The image itself is interesting. Not sure what I am supposed to take from it. I think the toning is in contrast to the purpose of the image unless the birth of venus was a difficult thing. Not up on my myths. Interesting take non-the-less. 6 - good luck in the challenge. |

| It feels like the focus is on the shell and not on the birth. I see that the baby moved too. I like the red tint of the photo. I wish you the best of luck. |

| I think that the image may be slightly over sharpened. I also don't like the general color, it's a bit red, I think a straight black and white may have done this a bit better justice. Great idea however, very origional. |

| I'm a little distracted by the movement of the right leg. Other than that, I like the hue, it adds an interesting element. The focus is good as is the crop. |

| Color is eerie. Not sure I liked the composition. Rather disturbing , which could be a good thing. |

| Something about this shot bothers me - not really sure what it is though. I really like the mythological reference and the shot appears to be quite good technically. I think perhaps it is the color tones - they seem to be not quite sepia and not quite rosy. The movement of the feet are also a bit of a distraction. HOWEVER, the overall mood and feel of the piece is very strong and emotive. Nice job. |

A great baby picture.
Love the colour & the tones.
perhaps a little dark on the right.
Right foot is also a little blured. |

| i love the idea, i dont care for the red tones. they just dont look right on the babies bottom. Must have been hard to dangle him not have his legs flaying. |

| technically i think the shot could have been better... for example without the motion blur in the feet... also the shot looks like it was neat image a bit too excessively. |
