Skate park in downtown Denver. I wanted to use the shoe title to accent a style of life and action. I was fairly certain the random street shoe shot would be too strong and prevalent to make a dent. And studio shots of shoes do not interest me.

The kids really got a kick out me shooting them and felt like I should get a few email addresses and send them a shot of their glorious moves. One boy even approached me and asked if "That is a Nikon?" I said yes and he responded "That camera is awesome, it is like $1500 dollars!" And then he skated away. The atmosphere there is fun and action oriented.

Very interesting photo. Shoes in action. The focus and lighting are very good by the way.

This has good movement and for stop action, is very focused. Although this has shoes in it, I think the focus is more on the skateboard and the guy riding it. I do like the greenish sepia filter. 7

This is probably the third time I have looked at your shot. The more I see the more I like it -- 8 --

Sweet!
Wish his face hadn't been so OOF--I guess the challenge WAS shoes, though...
I dunno, you still get a high score from me because I like skateboarders. : )

Nice action, stopped clean. Not sure that sepia colouring is appropriate for such a modern action. 5

Not sure if that's a valid skateboard picture, but otherwise a really cool photo!

Nice placement and lighting. Was your skater posing cause you'd think they're would be more blur if he was actually doing a kick flip or some trick like that.

A nice shot, good contrast, and captures the action well. Not sure about the crop. It's too tight to capture the whole picture for a sports shot, and it's too loose to really focus on the shoes, which is suppossed to be the theme. The right leg, the board and the arm would have been enough. Less is more

It's a shame the bottom foot is lost.

Nice... I like the action. Good job on the sharp, too. However, this particular picture may have worked better w/a different colorization or sepia tone. ;)
