Your image is perfect. There is nothing that I can even think of (and I did for 2 days) that would make this image any better. The high contrast in the clouds and on the building are just enough to make this work without it being overdone. This picture is so surreal looking. I absolutely love it and would buy it in a heartbeat.

love the way it looks like a photo at the top and a drawing at the bottom of the image would have that as a print on a wall very nice

Congrats on your ribbon, Matt! As i said in my earlier comment, I found this a tad shy on the "HC" side of the equation but loved it as an image. Exceptionally fine shot!

Absolutely beautiful photograph! The building contrasts wonderfully with the rest of the scene. This is one of my top picks of the challenge, and one of my few 10's. Congrats!

My top pic, 10
Beautifully taken, love the choice of b/w.
Don't know if it is my eyes but the only flaw I see is a slight tilt in the horizon to the right.
Great shot, good luck.

Lovely - almost looks like a pen drawing or a print! You seem slightly off centre, and I find that distracting. Is the horizon level? 9.

Amazing detail, interesting wide perspective, red filtered B&W?
It is pleasant that there aren't many modern objects in the frame, only that high building to the right. The light on the tower is very good. The photo lacks a bit of emotion but pretty darn good nonetheless. 8

Incredible detail and composition. Really a magnificent view. The sky couldn't have been more perfect either. I'm very surprised that B/W worked so well here, but it sure did! Nice job.

Excellent picture. High contrast works well with architecture. This picture meets the challenge as the contrast "adds impact". The sky is wonderful and the subject is interesting. 10.

This is very interesting visually. The roundness of it is almost an optical illusion for me. I love the depth of tone. Great capture.

What an excellent piece of work. Great tones, detail, texture. Only that slight tilt spoils it a little. Unless it does tilt :)

Radcliffe Camera in Oxford - wonderful subject, the sky is very nice. You chose a good time of day to photograph yor subject, as the shadows work in its favor.

wow great shot. I like the care you took to convert this image from a color image. it's a fresh picture for this challenge. the framing just add taste. the only problems I can find is the darks on the left side are just a tad to dark and the bottom of the building is just a little out of focus, but I don't think either of these take away from the shot great job, let me be the first to say congrats on a top three finish

This is a beautiful rendering of this fine (and famous) subject. It's very well lit, with great control of perspective. Nice B/W conversion as well. In all respects (speaking as a retired architectural photographer) I love this image. But it doesn't really answer the challenge especially well, being a full tonal range image that happens to have a dark sky and some deep sahdows on the left. The subject itself, in fact, is rather muted of contrast. I give it a good score because it's not toally off-base, of course, but I don't think it's quite as responsive tot he challenge as mano of the other images.
