Takk fyrir það, já þetta er allt að koma með kalda vatninu!

I was sitting at home with my friend watching the movie "Top gun" when I tought to my self how musculin and good looking the jets were, and how mutch I would like to photographt some. In that moment I rememberd that 3 days before, 4 harrier jets from Britain had to land here in Iceland because of bad weather. Immitietly after the movie I went out for a drive and found the harriers. I got to get real close to them, this image is croped about 50% and was taken at 40mm.

This is the fyrst picture I prosessd from the take, I decided to take part for fun.

Thank you all for your feedbacks!

Mig grunaði einmitt að þetta væru Harriervélarnar sem lentu hérna í bænum um daginn og það væri íslendingur á bak við þetta.
Congrats man.

I was absolutely sure this would be the blue ribbon winner. Well, at least it wasn't too far from the truth. And I did manage to correctly guess that the photo was Icelandic :-)

Impressive aircraft and well framed. THe hanger behind and the water puddle are distracting.

B&W works well, the crop also adds to enhance the interest.

That's a great shot. Last time I tried to get a shot like this I was politely escorted from the base. Appearantly The U.S. Navy doesn't like people taking photos of their flight deck.

For me, the hanger in the back is a bit distracting, but I really like the plane itself and having it in black and white works well for me.

This is awesome and powerful. Love to see these Harriers take off and also support us. Nice and clean lines. I gave you a 10.

Well seem! Everything works here. Very nice tonal range, the high contrast adds to the dark, forboding mood, and emphasizes the inhuman nature of the raw technology. Your formating of the title is a nice touch as well. I really can't find much room for improvement, except possibly burning the interior of the hangar to reduce the (slight) distraction of what appears inside.

Excellent composition. Excellent lighting. Excellent tones. POV, DOF, perfect. Not one for airplane images but this is probably the best one I've seen on DPC. 10

I like your perspective and the way you cropped it. The water under the plane is a great reflective addition to the shot. Very detailed and the contrast is great. The choice of the black and white filter really breaks down the variations and tones of the shot. Good job.

A little shift to the right (to show more of the plane's left wing and less of the hangar) would have mad this an excellent photograph, as opposed to merely a good one, as it stands now. Nice tonal range.
