Thanks for all the excellent comments - I new this wasn't the most interesting side of the "bubble" (in actuality it's the Chicago 'Bean') but I couldn't resist the humor in this photo after I saw the sort of oblivious nature, bird sitting ontop people just kinda walking by it ;)

For those that inquired about the location this sculpture is in Chicago's Millenium Park, you are allowed to photograph it, however you are not allowed to sell prints of it unless authorized by the City or Artist.

A very cool sculpture. The thing that makes me smile though is the bird sitting at the top. Is that a real bird?

Heh the elephant in the room sort of situation eh?. Good focus, decent light, though it is a bit shadowed in the foreground. It feels a bit snapshot-ish, but that could just be all the people milling about with no real purpose. I like the interest the bubble itself brings, from the curvature of the buildings along the side and the reflected people. Feels almost "Where's Waldo"-like. I also like the use of a different sort of bubble. I gave a 5.

Oh II love that location. Not sure why the image lacks the wow factor, maybe it's the central framing of it. As a result, it looks just like a tourist snapshot instead of photographic art - which is a great pity.

wow.. i like the reflections in the balloon, if the pciture shows less of the background, i guess it will be a quite a nice effect too ;-)

didnt we have a thread where we discussed how tacking pictures of this was illegal? anyway i like the seagull at the top it gives it a funny reference point. it seems too empty though, id like to see what it looks like on the side where all the buildings are at.
