Mt. Blanca is in the Sange de Cristo Range in Huerfano and Costilla Counties, In Colorado. The shot was from the south, off Colo. Hwy. 160. Not far from DPCer Sammie's home. I was incorrect in height its only 14,345 ft., but is the 5th highest in Colorado. The part you see is the very top of the volcano part of the mountain.

v - where is mt. blanca?? for visitation purposes...unless it is your secret.
But if it is, I will just take the time to look it up in my handy 14ers of Colorado handbook. heh. But i would rather you just elaborate on your picture. |

| Thanks for the kind comments. Yes I did try burning the corners, just experimenting a bit. Need to practice a bit more. Shot at 7800 ft looking up to 14300+ ft. through foggy morning, at 300mm. |

| Great stuff, where on earth were yo u to shoot that? I'm guessing you might have been in the air in which case you could compose it a little more off centre but it has a wow factor anyway |

| Colours look muted to me. Somewhere between b&w and blue... Also it looks darker at the corners, which gives the impression of vignetting. |

| Nicely framed, superb capture. I, for one, like the vgnetting effect here, whether or not it was in the lense. But I would have hoped for more crispness, more clarity of focus in the mountain. But sometimes the picture you want cant be grasped. |
