Jeez, almost 1/3rd of your favourites come from this! If there was ever a photo to show how/when a fisheye should be used I reckon this is the one!

My only thought would have been to burn the OE central part a touch?

So good to see you on the front page, Steve. One of the best 'real life' photographers on the site finally gets some recognition. I hope it will encourage some of the skimmers to have a closer look at your portfolio & see what documentary photography as art is about.

Hey awesome shot. I'm a BIG fan of the FishEye. I have two of them myself. I wanted to enter a shot using my 8mm Peleng, but just couldn't find the time to shoot that week. I'm glad because it would have paled compared to this tremendous capture. I love NY and I love the FE. Very well done and well earned ribbon. CONGRATS!

Awesome comp and post-processing. I love seeing great NY photos b/c when you're familiar w/ a location, seeing how someone else shoots it provides a different and perhaps deeper experience of a photo than when you haven't witnessed the place with your own eyes.

Should have ribbon'd IMO (no offense to the deserving winners)

Great job.

Don't worry folks, nothing you couldn't do with a $3000 lens. LOL Just kidding Steve, wow I know a guy who got 4th place. Excellent work. I knew it was you when I saw it for the first time but that isn't why I gave it a 9, it is worth a 9 at least and you ended up 4th and I am so happy for you.

I happen to love NYC and any new and innovative way to photograph it is welcome in my eyes. Your editing in Photoshop is excellent as well, not just B&W or Sepia a little of everything and it paid off looks great congratulations.

Mike
