This is the temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) in Logan, Utah, USA.

My son, Owen, helped me carry my equipment to a nearby hill when the sunset looked pretty darn good. We spent an hour or so having fun and taking pictures. At four years old, he loves to help me with photography!

The Mormons believe that families can live together after this life, and to me that's a comfort, as I love my family very much, and enjoy being with them.

I will certainly spot edit the light blemish at the bottom of the photo. That is an errant stalk of great basin rye grass, taller than Owen by 1 foot!

Beautiful colors, David. I'm coming up to Logan in the fall to attend USU and I hope to see beautiful sites like this - I've seen most of the temples in Utah but not this one.

Maybe I'll see you around campus.

I was married in a temple just 150 miles north of there, or so, in Idaho Falls. I, too, will be with my family forever.

Great shot. I wish I'd seen it during the challenge. Would have gotten a 10 from me for the perfect timing to get the perfect lighting.

I love the feel to this shot - the greens against the red and orange is just fabulous and the whole picture just looks SO moody. 10

Great composition. Love the building. Great color, love the sky on this one. Well framed too. Looks oversharpened though is my only problem with this one.

Great lighting and color accents on the building. The accents really draw my eyes to it.

mostly a really good postcard type shot, but what is that spot sort of at bottom- its a bit distracting.

This photo does seem "sacred". The sky is amazing and the green lights on the temple set it off perfectly.

I think I know this building, this is a great picture for the colors, it looks a little like St George UT, I was there on holiday many years ago now!!

Beautiful sky! Nice job on the exposure here -- it's not easy to capture just a dramatic sky while still getting some detail in the landscape.
