3074mm focal length Meade 12" LX200 SCT with Canon 5D at prime focus.
This result is a bit underwhelming, given the comparison to the view thru an eyepiece. I'm not convinced that vibration had a huge effect, but certainly the detail rendered in this shot is inferior to what was there visually.
I heavily processed this shot using both USM and deconvolution (Focus Magic) to bring out as much detail as possible. This required me to also take steps to reduce chrominance noise, which was made worse by the heavy porcessing.
Overall, my opinion is... ick. We have more work to do on prime focus stuff!

Kirbic, in retrospect, it's apparent to me that the problem with this image was the scope operating at f10. That's just too long of a focal ratio to get a decently exposed shot. Bring your focal reducer next time (or borrow one of YRS') and compare the same shot, same parameters at f6.3. I guarantee a better result!
